Jan Houldcroft, Site Manager

Jan started working for George Estates in January 2015 having previously worked for Great Western Enterprise as a Premises Manager for 25 years looking after a large portfolio of sites in Wiltshire and East Sussex. This involved managing and supporting business centres and light industrial sites for small to medium size businesses.  Outside of work Jan enjoys keeping fit and gardening.

Daniel French, Operations Manager

George Estates’ newest recruit and a ‘Happy Hacker’ on the golf course. Daniel manages all aspects of the day-to-day running of the business from our HQ in Malmesbury; from handling general enquiries and IT support, to website administration, marketing and our wayfinding map design.

Hana Bennett, Accounts Manager

Since 2008 Hana has been George Estates’ No. 1 Bookkeeper, keeping a close on the companies day-to-day financial affairs. Hana’s role encompasses all financial aspects of the business, she’s a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, and outside of work has two young children who keep her on her toes. Hana enjoys being outdoors, camping, movies, yoga and art.

Ben Lees, General Builder

Ben is our go-to builder when anything & everything needs building or repairing. From smaller handyman jobs to full renovations, Ben can put his hand to all jobs and is backed up by his trusty Labourer Jamie. Always keeping active, when Ben’s not running around one of our sites, he’ll be running, swimming or cycling around a town near you.

We are recruiting: Lettings & Digital Marketing Executive

The role will report to the Operations Manager but will also work closely with our Lettings Manager. Initially you will focus on generating & responding to enquiries for space. Specific tasks will include;

– taking enquiries for space via telephone and email, then matching those to space we have available, and lining up viewings with the Lettings Manager

– writing copy and posting it on our website blog pages and via our social media platforms, mainly Facebook & Google My Business

– updating our websites with photographs and descriptions on our websites of the space we have

– liaising with our online and local commercial property agents to promote our available spaces

– producing monthly newsletters which are sent via Mailchimp

– maintaining the company’s systems – involving data entry of all potential lettings

– monthly statistics & reports to show our websites’ performance

– general office support as & when required which will include maintenance of databases, scanning documents, some filing & archiving

Training & the majority of the work will take place at our head office in Malmesbury. We have team members who work full time and others part time and we can be flexible for the right individual.

Profile of Candidate

– An interest in what we do!
– PC literate – knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, & Email (Outlook)
– Professional manner, good communicator and listener
– Understanding the need to respond promptly to enquiries
– Intelligent, organised and systematic in approach – with a strong attention to detail
– An interest in social media
– A knowledge of website design and WordPress an advantage

Remuneration

– Salary £20-24,000 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications
– Workplace Pension Scheme
– Good holiday allowance
